In the period November-December 2022, Association for Legal Education and Transparency LET Station organized three forums in the community where citizens discussed solving the problem with the lack of kindergartens in the municipality of Prilep. The forums were organized within the project: „Civic engagement for a better future”, which LET Station implements it in the period November 2022 – April 2023.








The first forum was held on 25.11.2022, in the social enterprise Club LET, where parents of children in preschool age who are waiting for admission of their children (0-5 years) to kindergarten took part.




The second forum was held on 20.12.2022 at the Hotel Cristal Palace, and it was attended by citizens concerned with the problem of the lack of childcare facilities for preschool children. Given that during the pre-election campaign it was promised to complete the construction of the kindergarten in us. Tochila, construction of a new kindergarten in us. Kuzman 2, as well as the conversion of part of the premises in OOU Kocho Racin for a kindergarten, the citizens expected that the problem of lack of facilities for caring for preschool children would be solved, but unfortunately there have been no changes yet.









The third forum was organized on 22.12.2022, at the restaurant Del Posto in Prilep, where the current situation with kindergartens in the municipality of Prilep was presented, and the citizens gave their observations and comments to improve the situation.





The forums included a total of 50 citizens who emphasized the need for increased civic engagement and participation of citizens in order to encourage the local government to fulfill the promises made during the pre-election campaign.
The conclusions and recommendations that were collected during the forums will be summarized and a Petition will be created, which will be signed by the citizens who took part in the forums, as well as other concerned citizens, and will be submitted to the Mayor and the Council of the Municipality of Prilep for reminding of pre-election promises.
